Knowing Your Rights on Election Day:
You may take up to two hours off work to vote as long as you give your employer notice, which is required. Employers need not give time off if your workday starts two hours after polls open, or ends two hours before polls close. Employers can choose the hours you take off.
If you are in line before polls close, you must be allowed to cast your vote.
If anyone harasses you, you may make a complaint to your polling location’s chief manager, the county election’s office, or the Secretary of State.
You may ask for assistance from a poll worker if you are not comfortable with using a touch-screen computer, if your voting machine malfunctions, or if you make an error on a paper ballot.
If you are in a wheelchair, or have other assistive equipment, no poll worker may touch your equipment without prior consent.
If your precinct doesn’t have permanent handicapped parking, they must designate a handicapped parking spot with temporary signage.
If you have a service animal, it must be permitted into all buildings.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS NEED TO BE TURNED IN BEFORE 7:00 PM ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH
